In honor of our 3 year anniversary we want to celebrate by making some delicious cake. This cake is in honor of all of the love and support that you have shown us over the years. From your awesome comments, beautiful pictures, and of course your sorority secrets, our page would be nothing without YOU! So today, "let us eat cake!" 

Our friends at Vanille have shared with us some tips on how to make the perfect buttercream cake. Read their tips below and use this recipe to make the perfect cake!

5 Tips for Buttercream Cakes
1. Rustic buttercream- Easier to accomplish than a smooth sided cake and still looks professional.

2. Add bought décor to cover up any problem areas. For example, chocolate décor, sugar flowers.

3. Add nuts, sprinkles, chocolate curls to the side of cake, this will cover up any mishaps and don’t require a smooth finish.

4. Add organic fresh flowers to any cake for a simple yet elegant touch.

5. Combed finish- Makes any cake look even and finished.

The Trick to Using the Beauty Blender

The Beauty Blender has become such a necessity for most people that use liquid foundation and it definitely should be!  All of the celebrity makeup artists use it and it really does its magic.  For those of you that aren't familiar with the Beauty Blender, it's the pink egg-shaped sponge that allows you to perfectly blend in your liquid foundation on your skin.  It also helps with the mid-day touch up or when your skin is oily at the end of the day and you need to get rid of it!

There are generic brands that started creating something similar to the Beauty Blender but the texture of it and the softness of it is completely different than the actual Beauty Blender, so don't get tricked! The downside that you hear often is that it absorbs the liquid foundation and you end up having to use more liquid foundation than normal- and this is true.  It's a sponge so it does absorb a little bit of your foundation, but here's the trick that you all have been waiting for- put the foundation on your face using your fingers and then blend it in using the Beauty Blender!  It's an easy trick, but it really will help you get the most out of your liquid foundation and the best part about it is that you will save some money using this trick!

What's more motivating to hit the gym than getting brand new sneakers? Sneakers have become a fashion staple in the last year. Why You Should Do Spring Recruitment

So you have survived the first semester or two quarters of college and you can't help but feel a little left out in the social scene. Every day on campus you see groups of girls wearing their letters on cute tees and they look like they're the ultimate besties. You want in but you're just not sure if the "sorority thing" is for you.

Does the above scenario sound like you or someone you know? Well, stop second guessing yourself. Spring Recruitment could quite possibly be the best college decision you make. Here is why:

1. It's never too late to make new friends. New sisters? EVEN BETTER!
2. Spring Recruitment is usually less stressful than the first recruitment earlier in the school year because it's less girls going through.
3. With the whole rest of the school year ahead, there is still time to participate in the fun, warmer activities in the spring like philanthropies and date parties. 
4. Sick of your dorm room? Find a new place to stay in your sorority house once you complete spring recruitment and get initiated.
5. You will join just in time to be able to be on the other end of it all as you prepare in the summer to welcome even more sisters with recruitment! Participating in recruitment is the best and most rewarding sorority experience. You could even qualify to be a Recruitment Counselor!
6. You finally get to wear your letters on a cute tee ;-)

Your selfie game is about to be changed with these amazing new products that light up your phone to provide you with the best lighting for the perfect selfie. Hilary Clinton got to try it out and she was obsessed! One is called "Ty-Lite" and the other is made by Lumee. Each are cases that you put on your phone that light up, basically. When it comes to the Lumee, we love how you can adjust the lighting to make it dim. For both the Ty-Lite and Lumee case, we also love how it protects your phone much like any other phone case.
