3 Spring/Summer Weddings We Wish We Were Invited To

We have reached a point in our youth where our friends are getting married left and right! Being a guest at their weddings have been the greatest pleasure. We absolutely love seeing how all the decor and extra details come together with each wedding. Spring and Summer are total wedding seasons so it wasn't only our friends taking advantage-- our favorite celebrities did too. Oh how amazing it would have been to be invited to some of these 3 Star Celebrities' weddings. Below is a list of all the fun Spring & Summer Weddings we wish we had received a special invite to!

Kimye (Kanye + Kim)

Much to our surprise, there aren't many photos of Kim and Kanye's nuptials. Contrary to true Kardashian fashion of sharing it all, there is minimal evidence of all the details of the West wedding. All we know is what we've heard and well, a wedding in Italy really doesn't sound too bad. Judging from Kim's last wedding to Kris Humphries we can only imagine how glamorous it turned out. Kim seems to love the black and white classic wedding look and the decor made the ceremony look pure, youthful and VIP. Congrats to them!

Ashlee Simpson & Evan Ross

We are total suckers for Bohemian-style weddings and we would have expected nothing less from Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross. Despite the rain that decided to come during their wedding day in Connecticut, it really didn't seem to hinder the love in the air. With A-list celebrity guests and performers the day and night seemed to be an amazing affair!

Lauren Conrad & William Tell

If there is any wedding where we have been sitting with anticipation to even see a photo of the color flowers she used it's Lauren Conrad and William Tell's recent wedding. LC is our idol and we have been so inspired by her entrepreneurship and sense of fashion. She is literally living a dream come true and we would have loved to witness her magical day. We can only imagine what her dress looked like...stunning, of course! Lucky for us, US Weekly just unveiled pictures and details from her nuptials in their September 2014 issue. (*happy dance*)

What Spring or Summer wedding do you wish you were invited to? Share with us below! Hey, a girl can dream, right?!

Top 12 Best Back to School Home Decor Stores

Picture taken from: Home Goods

Back to school doesn't just mean new clothes and new school supplies, it also means a new room look! Moving into a dorm or settling into a new apartment with your friends/sisters is an exciting experience and we remember those days like it was yesterday. Nothing was more fun than deciding how to decorate our rooms, so we thought we would compile a list of our go-to home decor stores that are super trendy and budget friendly. If you're big on fun home accessories, then ROSS, TJ Maxx, and Marshall's Home Goods store are the perfect places for fine pieces like eccentric table figurines, lamps, and art work. For generous bedding selections JC Penney, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target are our definite first stops. We have a recent obsession, however, with Kohl's Lauren Conrad Bedding! Think vintage meets girl next door--you'll love it! It is no surprise that IKEA is our favorite furniture store. Whether you need furniture for your living room or bedroom, IKEA has just what you need right down to your silverware (just be prepared to be exhausted...they have multiple levels and selections for days!). IKEA is not the only credible furniture store; Karen has had a lot of luck at Ashley Furniture. They ship to almost anywhere and have a pretty large selection, especially affordable mattresses. If you're on a tighter budget, check out Big Lots for cheaper, yet reasonable every day furniture. For our full list of our favorite home decor stores, check it out below!
  1. Target
  2. Big Lots
  3. Ashley Furniture
  4. Ross
  5. TJ Maxx
  6. JC Penney
  7. Bed Bath & Beyond
  8. IKEA
  9. Home Goods
  10. Kohls
  11. Dania
  12. Walmart
Which one of these is your favorite back-to-school home decor store? Do you have any other home decor stores that didn't make our list? Let us know by leaving a comment below or emailing us at secret@thesororitysecrets.com!

It Girl Trend Report: Celebrity Style Crush

"Fashions fade, style is eternal".- Yves Saint Laurent

Usually, our styles are determined by the latest fashion trends seen on our favorite celebs. For example, Ali can always count on fashion inspiration from her style celeb crush, Rachel Zoe. We were curious what celebrity's style influenced our It Girls' wardrobe so this week they shared with us their celeb style crush. Like Karen, It Girl Avery's style celeb crush is Kourtney Kardashian. Her favorite style piece she is always on the lookout for from Kourtney Kardashian are her different, big stylish shades she always has on. For Marisa, Victoria, and Cristina their styles resemble a more classy and modern look similar to Sakura. Marisa has a huge style crush on Lauren Conrad "because she keeps it classy with solid and timeless pieces and always accessorizes to make it modern and dressy". Victoria loves to mix and match the personalities and character of what she's wearing to how she is feeling that morning, or tailored to something she'll be doing that day. Victoria refers to her style as eclectic meets boho hipster so for those reasons, Blake Lively is most aligned with her style. Cristina has an obsession with both the looks of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, but she identifies with Ashley Olsen's diverse, fashion forward style more. Allie opps for a more modern royalty look with her celeb style crush, Kate Middleton. Serena loves the classic, sophisticated look of a style icon: Audrey Hepburn. "I picked Audrey Hepburn for obvious reasons-she's classy, demure, beautiful, and she knew that being a woman was about more than looks and measurements".

Who is your celebrity style crush?! Leave us a comment sharing your style icon - we would love to hear!

It Girl Trend Report: Favorite Blogger

Blogs inspire us.  They give us a resource for new ideas, a place to share, and an outlet for creativity.  We asked our It Girls to tell us a little bit about their favorite blogs this week (other than The Sorority Secrets, of course!) and are big fans of their selections.  From fashion and style, to the power of positive thinking, these blogs cover a lot of ground.

Victoria's favorite blog, The Man Repeller, is a popular choice.  However, Victoria is a fan for reasons other than simply the blogger's quirky sense of style.  "From the moment I discovered The Man Repeller on Instagram, I noticed her love for literature and writing-- and I fell in love.  I'm an English major who dreams of fashion, and The Man Repeller does an excellent job merging the two together in almost a way of art," Victoria says.  Another fashion blog we love is Rachel's selection, Happily Grey.  Not only can her style pictures be found all over Pinterest (obsessed), but we're also big fans of her artful photo editing techniques.

Similarly, Alyx finds inspiration in The Happiness Project.  "Gretchen Rubin started The Happiness Project, which originated as a book and then became a blog.  It provides wisdom and insights to life.  Every morning, I read this blog as a source of inspiration to enjoy the moment, and to look on the bright side of life," Alyx adds.

What are your favorite blogs, that give you a daily dose of inspiration?
